Sr. Account Executive - IT Security Sales

Our client, a leading Cisco, Dell/EMC, IBM, HPE, VMware partner, is seeking a Sr. Account Executive in NYC metro that has a deep background selling IT Security and Cyber security solutions. Must have experience selling SIEM, Threat Intelligence, and Threat Management solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Consistently meet or exceed your gross profit quota by:

  • Identifying new and existing customer security services and technology needs and opportunities including the introduction of total solutions (hardware, consulting, and managed services).
  • Consistently maintaining a strong pipeline of business and striving to close the potential sales.
  • Making regular sales calls to develop relationships and proactively follow-up on leads
  • Maintaining professional/referral relationships with appropriate partners in your eco-system.
  • Developing, executing and delivery of quality solution focused client presentations.
  • Developing and maintaining account relationships to maximize long-term sales opportunities and ensure effective negotiation of contracts, terms and conditions, and discounts.
  • Acting to identify the prospects decision-maker to close deals & finalize contracts.
  • Responding to, and delivery of sales proposals and RFP responses.

Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner by:

  • Communicating to manager regarding the status of territory activity via regular reporting.
  • Developing and updating an annual account plan, including defining goals, strategies and resources.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plans.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and communicating monthly sales data to contribute to product/service planning.
  • Inputting account information, contact information, activity, and potential sales in company CRM system.

 

Other Position Requirements:

 

  • College Degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of successful sales experience within a large technical account environment.
  • Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to customer.
  • Ability to handle the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • Ability to maintain and expand existing account relationships.
  • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to effectively learn technical products, services and solutions and readily apply new knowledge.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in cybersecurity is highly preferred.
  • Experience selling SIEM, Threat Intelligence, and Threat Management is required.
